So nice to have 24 hour pet hospitals. You'll never know what will happen during the wee hours of the day.
How nice and thanks for the post! Very helpful!

It's nice but it's sad that they don't treat small animals like guinea pig after 6pm.
I took my cat here last week at 3am. They did a very bad job. Until now the have charged me around 3k myr. I dont see improvement and only one medicine was given. I would not recommend this place. Only if very high emergency at night is ok
I totally agree with Silent Steps...I am an independent stray cats rescuer. And I was also slapped by a whopping bill of over RM3,500 few years back when my strays-turned domesticated cats got infection and I had no one to turn to. And the hospitalisation fee there is RM50 per night! Yet, my cats' condition didn't recover totally. I never return to this hospital ever since. I can only say..this is a pet hospital only for the rich! People like me will have hard time trying to foot the bill although we are trying to help the strays. Sad.
I urge everyone NOT to go to Animal Medical Centre along Tun Razak as well. As the previous 2 comments mentioned, the charges are insane, and produce no results. I lost all 3 of the pets I tried to urgently get care for during (pets owned from 2002-2007). All three times resulted in no improvement in condition, all passed away overnight, and each time, the bill exceeded RM2000. Try Gasing Veterinary Hospital instead - they are not 24 hours, but can get their vets to come in on call, even late night. They saved my friend's dog at 3-4am from poisoning.
Hello everyone,am desperately searching for a hospital for my Dog whose got lymphoma .It's really a race against time . Any help would be highly appreciated
Hi! I just bought a shetland sheepdog from a home breeder a month ago...he looks normal to me when I brought him home but now i find both his front leg a bit abnormal. ..he is just 3 months old. Im so worried....anyone have any experience like this
I find NEGATIVE COMMENTS left by Anonymous and Silent Steps very unproductive and irresponsible.
The Hospital Veterinar in Jalan Pekeliling is about one of the very few specialized vet hospitals in Malaysia that is well equipt with the latest technology to ensure the hospital is run well and caters to the needs of Animal Welfare.
If bills ran up to thousands of MYR, there must be a valid reason for that happening. If the animal is still sick - obviously there must be several reasons for that too but blaming the hospital is not right.
The vets there are fully professional and its an exemplary vet hospital in Malaysia.I dont work there but I can tell you that this is a fine hospital.
I live near to the Hospital and often have no choice but to use their service. I have 6 pet dog. Heard of many complaint from friends. They will always try to keep your pet there as long as possible, will do a lot of expensive tests, mistreatment, diagnose my dog for possible cancer when it was harmless. If you have other choice avoid this one. Positive: Very friendly service
Agree with silent step.Brought my healthy cat there.Diagnoss to have stone in the bladder.Had an operation there. When took my cat back it got worse.Brought back to the hospital. They gave me all excuses. My bill ran to 7k myr. Then brought my cat to another vet in taman megah.Diagnoss that my cat had the same problem when brought to animal hospital.Had to do a second operation on the same bladder. So what is the point of having up to date equipment when they can't even do a proper care.Worse they keep asking to pay all the test n was more concern on the bills than my cat condition.I totally agree with silent step, please if you love your pets do not bring them to animal hospital........the vet in taman megah did a follow up n call to check on my cat. What a gd service. If ppl say animal hospital is busy can't do a follow up than why they can remind you on your bills even when your pet has not been discharge.Horrible ...

Hi can I know is there any other eye specialist for rabbit in KL?
Pet transport with PezRush can be done very easily.
They really take care of your Pet during Pet transoprt.
We used them and they were awesome.
If you keen to pay MUCH more then what other Vet usually charge on the same treatment. This is the place for you.
Agree wt silent step. Really money grubbing, you get amatures at the we hours, the attendant is doing the checks and diagnosis and not the Dr. Been here 3 times and all 3 times its the same.nothing done yet 300 MYR for consultation. Avoid
This hospital has all the latest equipment. Their doctors are well qualified and charge exhorbitant prices for their services. It's sick! I'm sorry to say they do not show much love towards their patients. Don't bring your pets to this hospital if your local vets can handle the job. Only send them for really complicated cases.
hye...hospitaL haiwan di gasing tu murah ke?.service macam mana.sebab sy nak bawak ank kucing sy tkena infection kt mata.
im looking the hospital vet for my kitten..infection eyes...plizz suggest me...fOr the cheap bill..tq
akmar nordin's comments are typical of someone trying to defend a poor establishment.
As others have said (and pretty much everywhere else if you took a little bit of time to google), Animal Medical Centre along Tun Razak is a place manned by heartless vets who want to rip off owners who are already emotionally traumatised. This is similar to robbing old people - taking advantage of people.
If you have tons of money, don't care about your pet, this is the place to go. We have been there off and on through the past 30+ years and can assure you that their website should say "4 decades of successfully ripping customers off whilst could not care less about your pets." or perhaps "4 proud decades of killing animals". We have lost a few dogs here back when good vets were not all that common.
Those in need of 24 hr service should try Gasing Veterinary Hospital. 150-200 outside of normal hours surcharge, and probably a 45-60 minute wait AFTER you appear. They will not call the vet till you arrive, which is reasonable I think. Brought a dying cat there and was saved by a caring tired vet. 150 for outside normal hours charge, no charge for anything else. If you need faster service, I don't know of anywhere else. You might be served faster at AMC but in 30+ years I have not met a vet that cares about your animal.
AMC will never tell you something that most human doctors and animal vets will tell you very honestly - staying overnight at a hospital will tremendously increase the risk of your sick pet contracting some other disease and maybe dying as a result. Gasing Vet Hospital was very frank and honest to mention this. Many humans and animals that are not that sick have died as a result of hospitalisation and catching some other illnesses. That's simply factual. So AMC's policy of strong arming you to hospitalise your pet is not merely money grabbing, it is also showing how little they care about your pet. 40+ years of shame on them. No self-respecting vet that cares for animals should associate themselves with this mercernary organisation.
Dr Prem is one of the best. Salute to all the other doctors too, who are very capable and hardworking. But I regret to point out the rude and careless attitude of the Counter Staff by the name of "Nash". On many ocassion I requested for advise from doctors over the phone, as I do not have a transport to bring over my dog to the vet. And the doctors were very cooperative, took the initiative to return my call to provide the necessary advice. Today I called under the same circumstance as again without a transport I was struggling to find a way to get a strong medicine for my 11 year old dog for serious mange (skin) problem. Nash was extremely rude and simply told me to come personally to the vet, even after I explained to her that I do not have a transport. She kept on saying doctors were busy and they cannot attend phone calls. She abruptly wanted to cut off the conversation and behaved as if she care less about what happens to my dog. In fact, she even refused to find out what sickness my dog has.
Such behaviour does not go in line with the Vet's motto stated in their Facebook page which says "best customer service". This staff's attitude would damage the reputation of Dr Prem and his hospital overall. I hope the management would educate the staff (Nash) to learn to he more human than just a robot doing her job. She should do her job to uphold the principles of the hospital, understand every customer's emergency situation and be passionate and more humane in assisting these customers to provide comfort, satisfaction, solution and more importantly hope. Especially when customers goes through traumatic situatioestrying to save their pets. Dr Prem, you can get better staff, compared to your standard and credibility.
I totally agree with Anonymous and Silent Steps. AMC is one of the worst animal hospital. 2 of my dogs died there. I was willing to pay the thousands of ringgit they billed me but eventually they will only make matters worst.I placed my dog overnight and she became more serious and died. Vets there are very good in giving excuses. Gasing Vet has the same equipments and facilities and they are way more cheaper and professional than AMC. Please dont recommend AMC to anyone, as you would not only loose your money but most importantly you will be at risk of losing your beloved pet
I would recommended dr tan from city pets veterinary clinic..he has full equipment..xtray and surgery equipment..he save my cat suffering from wetfip ..he also doing oncall job .pls call 013 3620336
With all this reviews from people, this is the very reason I travel back all the way to Ipoh to treat my cat with our family veterinarian doctor. His name is Dr Kishen. Very helpful and dedicated. The best is he follows up with me everytime my cats go under surgery. And he even directs me how to treat my cat who has blood in her poo over phone call. I mean, running to vets that's don't bother helping you, I rather go miles to take care of my pets and never ran up to thousands on spending on my cats.
